Medium-duty market sees another BEV launch
New Lightning ZEV4 technology lands another blow for batteries in their battle with fuel cells
ZEV commercial vehicle manufacturer Lightning eMotors has launched its Lightning ZEV4 technology that can be used across a range of medium-duty applications. The GM-based technology is being rolled out in the wake of growing demand for Class 4 vehicles, including a ramp-up of production of ZEV4 school buses.
Fuel cell enthusiasts will be buffeted by another step forward for BEVs in the technological battle for commercially viable zero-emissions solutions within the medium-duty vehicle sector.
