Why expensive power could soon accelerate, rather than retard, the US EV adoption divide

NREL study also gives estimates for Level 1 and 2 chargers requirements
The US will require 182,000 public fast charging ports by 2030 to support the predicted 30-42mn light-duty EVs on the roads by then, according to the government funded National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
The nation will also need 1mn public Level 2 charging ports in high-density neighbourhoods, office buildings and retail locations and a further 26.8mn Level 1 and Level 2 ports in private locations, such as homes, multi-family properties and workplaces, NREL says in its Building the 2030 National Charging Network report.
