GM’s new president, North America Rory Harvey goes into the role he assumed at the start of June with a unique perspective on the firm’s future EV sales, given his previous two-and-half years in charge of the group’s Cadillac brand. Cadillac has already laid out its strategy to go all-electric by 2030, driven by its status as GM’s luxury brand as, in Harvey’s own words, “luxury is driving EV adoption at the moment”.

EV inFocus caught up with Harvey to find out more about the wider GM EV strategy. And it discovered that technology is at the heart of how the firm is thinking about the e-mobility revolution.
