Volvo is pinning a lot of its future EV sales growth hopes on the EX30

Chinese-owned OEM Volvo Cars has launched its new EX30 small SUV BEV which is, in the words of the product’s head of commercial Francesco Speciale, “paired with an attractive price that creates an opportunity to democratise electrification across our markets”.

“We have never offered this type of car before. But we know there are lots of people out there for whom this car fits perfectly,” says the firm’s CEO Jim Rowan, labelling it an “important car for us as a business”. “It is a car for the many — we will build this care in high volume and we will sell it across the globe.
