US car rental firm Hertz is reaping initial benefits from its strategy aimed at “creating long-term value through our first mover advantage in electrification”, according to its CEO Stephen Scheer. These include less maintenance, longer keep times on its EVs and lower purchase prices than it had been anticipating.
