Collaboration key to North American EV supply chain
The US and Canada must cooperate to meet their goals of developing future 'in-house' capabilities
Joint efforts in EV mineral mining, manufacturing and R&D between the US and Canada will be required to develop a North American supply chain that is able to compete globally, according to two senior government officials speaking on a webinar focused on the US-Canada zero-emissions vehicles (ZEV) supply chain.
“There is a need to promote complementarity in projects and incentive programmes that address key gaps,” says the associate assistant deputy minister for mineral policy and critical minerals at the Natural Resources Canada government department Kimberly Lavoie. “We really need to continue enhancing collaboration at all levels."
